Today is my Hubby's 32nd birthday. He was hoping to get the night off but guess what...Mother Nature had other plans. It has been snowing here since 5 tonight. We have about a foot of snow or so I am betting here at our house. And we also have this friveway that it doesn't matter which direction the wind is blowing the snow drifts it shut within no time at all. Anyways, with only three guys working on Aaron's night shift and it snowing (winds are predicted also to be around 25mph too tonight) Aaron couldn't use his "governors day". I swear ODOT may not have the best benefits but the days off that they get makes up for some of it. Here all I get is sick leave, holiday and vacation days. Aaron gets vacation days, sick leave, business time, governors day, holiday, etc.

We hope that you had a Happy Holiday Season. Ours went by too fast to be honest. I took Christmas Eve off in hopes to play in the snow all day but instead I had two sick boys the four days I had off. Aaron ended up only getting two days off instead of three thanks to Mother Nature. So needless to say we didn't get to spend as much time as we all wanted with Uncle Wes, Aunt Angie and cousins Josiah and Adaya while they were here from Portland.

My hubby is the dearest and sweetest Man. For Christmas he gave me a ring in the neatest way. Now I wonder how he would have proposed to me all those 13 1/2 years ago. Wonder if it'd been as cute as how I found my Christmas present? Guess we will never know since I found the wedding ring before I should have.
