Today was a treat to me. Both Dawson & Justin had school until 1:15 and then they get home on the bus around 2. So I spent the morning running errands in Baker. As I was leaving the grocery store parking lot I seen the neatest no coolest thing ever. I was getting ready to back out of the parking when these three people stopped to talk right behind me. At first glance I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary about the people, one was a lady, a man in a military camo uniform and then an older man. It was at the second glance that made me wake up. The older gentleman was thanking the young soldier for fighting for our country. He gave the soldier a firm hand shake and a pat on the back. All three of the people walked away beaming with pride & smiles. We are so very lucky to live in this country and that their are men and women willing to fight for our freedom. From now on no matter where I am and I see a service man or woman I want to go shake their hand. Maybe some of their bravery will brush off on me.

Not much has been going on with us lately. This should be Aaron's last week of working Wednesday through Saturday. The 20th he is going to start spraying. He was asked to be the lead man of the spraying program for Baker's ODOT. Today he had to take a truck to Pendleton and then stop in La Grande to get the spray truck. I can't remember for sure but I think it is a new truck. Aaron may go back to working the Monday through Thursday but if a storm comes through on Friday or Saturday then he will get called in to help. To be honest it will be nice not having to figure out how to get the Boys shuffled around fairly between the Grandparents on Saturdays again.

Guess that the project for the weekend for both Boys is to address their valentines for their friends at school. They both are having parties at school on Wednesday. I was hoping to be able to attend them but I have to run my mail route that day. Only have 24 to fill out for Dawson's class and 21 to fill out for Justin's class. Then there are the special ones to make for their teachers. I'm glad that I love the holidays :0)

Today it was warm once again once the rain clouds dispersed. Got up to 50 degrees. You would think that with this warmer weather that the mud drenched lawns and pastures would be drying out...NOT! I hate to say this but it will probably take a good wind storm to help dry things out. We have had so much wind this winter and fall that everyone is sick of having it.

Wishing you sunshine & smiles for the weekend that lays ahead!
