Yesterday was a bit of a sad day at our house as Dawson put it. Didn't take too long for either Justin or Dawson to move on with life and play on the trampoline after the butcher left. Billy was time for our first bottle baby. I was surprised that once Billy was put down by the butcher that Dawson came out and watched what was going on with me. Justin isn't a fan of blood and guts so he would only come out of the yard for brief moments to watch until Billy was skinned and hanging. He will be some good eating though!!
In two years "Baby" will be going and then hopefully if Bridget (Our heifer) has calves every year starting in 2008 we will have cattle to butcher every year.
