Thanks to my sister-in-law I am starting a blog for our family. Just hope that I can remember to write in it as much as she does :0) I enjoy reading and then sharing about all the things that Angie, Wes & Josiah do and looking at the photos of them make it seem as if we all live a little closer to one another. I wish that there was a way for us to feel more like good friends.
Here lately the "disconnected feeling" has hit both Aaron and I. We have become engulfed in our personal family lives that we aren't sure what the rest of our families are up to. As we get older I realize that life isn't what I had expected (never thought that I'd be a postal worker when I was going to college to work as a veterinary assistant & Aaron an ODOT worker), patience don't grow on trees, children don't come with manuals (We'd pay lots of money for one if they did), and yet one thing remains solid and dependable...my hubby. Who would have guessed we'd be together this long. 12 1/2 year now. We are the oldest married couple in each of our classes now. My husband is one in a million and I definitely won't be letting him go.
Dawson, our oldest, turns 7 tomorrow. Man how time flies. He got his first phone call from a friend the other day. Poor Dad didn't know what to do when someone asked to talk with Dawson and it wasn't a Grandma on the other end of the line. Justin, well, he's too much like me stubborn. He is a wonderful boy like his brother but he just can't seem to be respectful of his friends space. We've had three three issues to deal with in a matter of one week. So if any one has a suggestion on how to rewire Justin to make him realize that it isn't nice to be hitting his friends please send them. We are at our wits end on this one.
It is so cold out once again today. The wind is just howling through our bamboo wind chime. Maybe the chill in the air matches the chill on my heart that I can't seem to help Justin and that my oldest boy isn't a little boy anymore.

I think this is a start. I feel closer to Stephen and Amy since they started leaving comments. It feels like Amy and I are becoming sisters, like we are understanding each other's heart just a little bit better.

I'm starting to think it's better. Sure, I'm not an architect, but I love being at home with Siah.
"My husband is one in a million"
No, I think those Smith boys are two in a million. They're alright. :O)

YIKES! Don't know anything about this one yet. We're trying to teach the difference between the truth and a lie or what he wishes was the truth.

He sure was a cute little boy. I don't think we'll ever forget that first day we got to spend with him in our backyard.
Welcome, welcome, welcome to the blog world. You never can have too many Smith's on the Internet.
By the way, my little avatar picture is of me using my powers of levitation over your trampoline.
